Comments

The blown wine glass has a slightly flaring funnel-shaped bowl, often referred to as a trumpet bowl, atop a long stem.  The stem has a long tear-drop shaped air bubble.  When making the stem, the glass-blower introduced an air bubble and then drew out the stem, thus creating the long, thin shape with a tear drop inside.  The bowl and stem are fused to a slightly raised foot with a folded edge (for added strength).  The wine has a pontil mark on the underside.
