Comments
The set of three Windsor side chairs have bamboo-turned rear posts, five spindles in the back, legs, and boxed stretchers. The spindles form a fan back and are capped by a double-rod crest with a medallion in between. The medallions are different in color, appearing to be possible replacements, but they are of different wood than their turned-wood surroundings. Paint would have covered any visible differences. The carved seat is slightly dished.
Chair 2004.21.1 was photographed.
