The pierced brass plate is riveted to a three-legged iron stand. The legs are angled at the bottom to form long spade feet. A bar joins the two legs opposite the handle. The wood handle, turned to form stacked rings, slides on a tang and is kept in place by a brass terminal at the end. The brass platform features twelve lobes around a central circular motif, the whole forming a stylized floral device.
