Condition Notes

The rattan handle has broken at one end.  The tip of the spout is broken.

Ex-coll. Mrs. Harrison V. Davis of Odessa, acquired at an auction of her furnishings held on October 30, 1982.

Comments

The globular, lidded teapot has a short, straight spout and two loops attached to the shoulder to which a rattan handle is attached.  The tea pot has a thick pebbled or mottled grayish-brown glaze on the outside that stops about an inch from the bottom.  The inside has a similar glaze that is thinner and smooth.
