Inscription

"ROGERS," "1881," and two R-within-a-wreath marks are cast into the underside of the handle.  A script "C" is engraved into the face of the handle.

Comments

The molded tablespoon has a tapered oval bowl and shaped handle with cast decoration of scrolls along the edges and on both sides.

In 1881 the Oneida Community (i.e., Company) purchased the Wm. A. Rogers silverware company.  The mark on this spoon was used from about 1910 to 1929.
