Comments

The pair of standing salts has flaring hexagonal bases that support a shallow dish within a scalloped rim.  The rim is ornately decorated in gold outlined in red.  Elsewhere the salts have floral decoration of chrysanthemums and pomegranates  rendered in pinks (famille rose), greens, burnt orange, and brown.  The combination of the six-sided base, gilt border, and decorative colors (notably the pinks) and motifs suggest the date range.
