Comments

This seemingly simple, tilt-top stand embodies the essential features of the American federal style: oval top, column-and-urn shaft, and S shaped legs that stand delicately on spade-shaped feet, called “terms” in the period.  No physical features of this table stand out to suggest a region of origin.
