Condition Notes

One small section of the rim around the top has split.  A small rectangular patch in the center of the top covers a one-time screw hold made to affix the top in the down position.  The square block at the top of the column has been repaired at the end with wood pintles that fit into the cleats.

The tilt-top stand has a lathe-turned top with the rim. The shaft is a column atop the urn and reel turnings.  It stands on three cabriole legs ending in pointed plain feet on integral pad bases. Two cleats screwed into the underside of the top allow it to swivel upward on pintles at each end of a block mounted on the top of the shaft.
