Condition Notes
.1 has a 3 inch by 2-1/2 inch surface loss on the bottom; .2 has a large chip out of the rim and has a 2-1/2 inch by 2 inch surface loss on the bottom; and .3 is broken in half and glued together.
Provenance
The three small dishes were purchased from Mrs. Harry B. Roberts of Odessa, Delaware, who said they had a tradition of use by the Shallcross family of Byberry, Pennsylvania, a region in the northeastern section of what is now Philadelphia.
Comments
The three small, round dishes have coggle-wheel decorated edges and two yellow slip motifs in the centers. They are coated in a clear lead glaze.
