Comments

This nearly square needlework sampler was made by Annie Maria Woodstock, who boldly added her birthdate of April 2, 1760.  Normally, young needleworkers marked the date of completing their samplers along with the age at the time.  Assuming most samplers were executed by girls aged 10 to 15, this sampler was made between 1770 and 1775.
