Comments
The powder horn is carved with names, initials, and images of animals, all within floral vines that serve as borders and dividers. Lettering includes shaded block letters and ornate script letters, each of which has remnants of a red stain to enhance them further. Animals and other images include a dog chasing a fox, a boot, and a game bird.
The quality of carving is ambitious but not highly artistic.
