The makers' touchmarks say "TOWNSEND / & COMPTON" and "MADE IN / LONDON" and "T&C," the last as the last in the row of four hallmarks.

Comments
This 9-inch plate with a hammered booge is another example of what appears to be identical plates by the prolific London partnership of John Townsend and Thomas Compton in the Historic Odessa collection. All of the plates have the same makers' touchmarks in the same location. Also, all of these plates have common ownership by Mary Warner, who may have inherited them from either the Wilson or Corbit families.
