Comments
The molded details of this medium-sized pitcher depict animals drawn from a recognizable vocabulary of subjects but differently modeled and arranged. The hound forming the handle is leaner and less detailed than earlier counterparts. Opposite, an eagle with outspread wings decorates the body below the spout. One side shows another eagle in flight above a boar and a smaller mammal. The other has a stag leaping over a rabbit and a cat.
