Comments
The small lidded pot is black in color and stands on three rectangular feet. The function of this very small object is unknown. Possibly, it was a tourist trade or souvenir item.
The lid and body appear to have been turned on a lathe. The wood used is very fine-grained; earlier cataloguing of this object identified its material as metal. Both the body and lid are covered with incised engraving. The body is divided into panels showing crude leavy vines. The lid is regular in its decoration. Triangular handles project from opposite sides, and a sharpened post in the center of the lid suggests a finial, now lost.
