Comments

The large, ovoid tureens have molded strap handles at each end.  The base of the tureens angles outward.  The double-domed lids have a gilded fruit-like knob above molded green leaves.  The edges of the lids, tureens, and platters are shallow scallops.  Decoration features colorful and detailed floral sprays on the sides of the bodies and long sides of the lids.  Gilded and green and purple painted bands decorate the edges.

Early accession records state that the platters may not be original to the tureens but offer no evidence in support.
