The surface is worn, dented, and scratched.  It has a few abrasions from being hit by something.

Comments

This large plate, large enough to be called a charger by some, has a slightly deeper well than usual.  The absence of any maker's marks interferes with identifying its origin, although the well shape and size of the single-reeded rim may one day suggest other examples made from the same bronze mold.
