This bulbous jug with an applied handle has multiple rings around the narrow neck, shaped while the jug was on the potter's wheel. It also has incised decoration in a ring around the shoulder. The designs appear to be long and narrow fish separated by other motifs. Jugs with this kind of incised decoration in this location are generally attributed to Branch Green, a potter from Troy, New York, who made his way south to Philadelphia and established a pottery there.
