Duncan Beard (d. 1797), a Delaware clock-maker and silversmith of great distinction lived and labored in Odessa, DE for about thirty years until his death in 1797. He was a partner of Christopher Weaver, worked with John Javier, and was a prominent member of Old Drawyers Presbyterian Church.
