The rounded frame around the glass has cracked across the grain in one location.

Comments

The hand mirror has a circular frame made of an unidentified wood painted black in imitation of ebony.  The round frame has a slightly coved face with a small bead and a narrow coved band at the inner edge.  A turned handle inserts into the frame.  A black-painted panel is inset into the frame on the back side.  This hand mirror is very similar to acc. no. 1968.874.
