Condition Notes

One side of the basket has a 4-inch by 9-inch hole.

Comments

The large, low, cylindrical basket is woven to a narrow neck in the center.  The open hole is covered by a woven lid.  An arched handle attached to opposite sides allows the basket to be carried.  The basket was used by putting baby birds into the hole and then covering them.
