Comments

The footstool is made of boards cut to shape and nailed together.  The rectangular top board is nailed to inclined uprights that are undercut with a double ogee (also called an “ogival arch”) that forms the four legs. Ogee-shaped skirts are nailed to each long side to both decorate and reinforce the stool.  The stool has a clear finish on it with no traces of paint.
