Comments
This fan-back Windsor side chair, with seven narrow spindles, exhibits good turning, notably in the rear posts. All of its features are crisply fabricated. The crest rail has serpentine shaping along the top and bottom edges, giving it a "ribbonlike" quality that Windsor chair historian Nancy Evans associates with a group of Windsors she believes were made in New Hampshire.
