Comments
The panoramic view of Philadelphia extends from South Street at the left to Vine Street on the right with the new spire of Christ Church in the center. The numbers accompanying each prominent building are keyed to text in the London Magazine of October 1761 for which this engraving was made. The engraving is a small, fold-out version of the 1752 view drawn by George Heap (1715-1752) and published in 1754 by Nicolas Scull in London.
