Comments
The lidded chamber pot is decorated in finely detailed panels of Chinese figures set in gardens—some with fruit trees, in front of pavilions, and distinctive Chinese railings. The over-glaze enamels are in pink, blue, aqua, green, yellow, and orange-red, with some gilding. The colors relate to the large body of Rose Medallion wares.
The flat-topped cover finial has a gilt starburst against a reddish ground. The pot body stands on a foot ring. A single C shaped handle attached to the side has gilded decoration down the outside.
