Comments

The shallow, flat-bottomed ashtray is a modern design adapted from a late 18th century porringer design with a flowered handle, an object made in America and England.  Unlike a porringer, this ashtray has very low sidewalls, thus cannot be used to hold liquids or more solid foods.
