Comments
The pair of wall sconces, made of soldered sheet iron parts, has a gallery formed by a low, circular strap of iron that contains two candle cups. A rectangular back has an ovoid hood or pediment at the top with a crimped band around the edge. The sides of the bac and the top of the gallery are rolled around iron wire for strength. Additional strength comes from the folded molding strips running vertically just inside the sides of the back. The sconces attach to the wall with small hanging loops soldered to the outside of the back.
