Comments
This blown wine glass has a round bowl with decorative tooling on the lower third. After shaping the bowl, the glass-blower used pincers to gently pull the glass material up in regular, vertical lines to create the optical character. The stem of this wine glass has opaque white spirals, made by introducing opaque white glass rods during its fabrication. The round or disc foot is slightly raised and has a pontil mark in the center of the outside bottom.
