Comments
This “bucket-bowl” wine glass, so-called for the shape of the bowl, has a blown bowl atop a disk stem and a round foot. The strawberry-diamond pattern cut into the bowl closely resembles that of a celery vase (accession no. 1984.31) believed to have been made in Pittsburgh. However, similar designs were also cut into English and Irish glass, introducing uncertainty into identifying in what region this glass was made.
