Comments
This small two-candle mold with a strap handle made taper sticks, distinguished from candle sticks by their smaller size. The mold, made of tin-coated sheet iron bent to shape and soldered, has a small platform base shaped like the shallow pan at the top that prevented hot liquid tallow from spilling or dripping. Most candle molds had a hook from which they would hang while the tallow gelled in the mold, rather than a platform base.
