Comments
The broad, conical body of the rummer is engraved with stars and bands of stars separated by cut ovals at the rim. It has a plain stem, a double-gather disc foot, and a slightly raised pontil mark on the outside bottom of the foot.
The term "rummer" describes a drinking glass with a bowl set above short, almost non-existent, stem. Although the term is no longer used, it occurred in records of the period, including those of glass makers and sellers.
