Both handles have broken off.  The lid has a chip in the rim.

Comments

This cylindrical sugar bowl has a molded body and a molded lid or cover, each with faint vertical ribbing.  Both parts have the same floral sprays and bands, indicating that they were originally made together.  At that time, the sugar bowl had intertwined strap handles at opposite sides.  It is possible that damage to one or both of the handles caused handle remnants to be removed intentionally, since one side has whiter remnants than the other.
