The bulbous jar is decorated with delicately rendered birds and flowers set into two large ovoid panels with a rectangular and a circular panel in between. The background is a red with gilded filigree. White and red stylized petals encircle the base. The lid is similarly decorated with two large panels and a finial shaped as a square knot.
