Inscription

The underside of the handle is stamped in the center with a partial rose touchmark.  The letters "AL" are visible, but not more of what is likely a name.

Condition Notes

The handle shaft has a slight wave in it, as if it had bent and someone tried to straighten it without complete success.

Comments

The cast pewter ladle has a round bowl with two incised rings cut just below the rim before it was soldered to the cast handle.  The handle has a “fiddleback” end with an upturned tip.
