Inscription
A "jelly label" pasted onto one side of the flask has a faint inscription that records ownership by Mary Corbit Warner as well as her address. It reads in part, “[illegible] / flask Corbit / [illegible] / M. C. Warner / 908 Del. Ave.”
Condition Notes
The flask has darkened with "tin rust," a form of oxidation of the metal.

Comments
The flask or canteen is made of two molded halves soldered at the seam. A hole for the slightly flared spout has been cut and the spout soldered in place. A cork now fills the spout opening. Small pewter straps soldered to each side provide anchors for a hanging cord.
The initials "BAB" are lightly scratched into the side of the canteen, perhaps identifying a one-time owner.
