Comments

The easy chair has been entirely reconstructed using a variety of woods.  The front cabriole legs have low-relief carving on the knees.  The four legs have very few nail holes from upholstery campaigns.  The nail holes along them align with those on the frame suggesting that they are reproductions.  The wood frame itself is made of wood showing circular and power saw marks, indicating modern fabrication.  The arm shape and the height of the chair do not conform to 18th century practices.  This easy chair is a fake.
