Comments
This smooth-brimmed plate has no maker's marks nor any hammering of the booge that might help discern where it was made. The initials “H / N D” stamped into the bottom are most likely those of early owners. Typically, the letters express the owners' last name, H in this instance, and the names of a husband, N, and a wife, D. Far too many names fitting those criteria existed during the time this plate was likely made to help further its identification.
