Comments

This cylindrical mug has an interlaced strap handle.  Raised floral decoration suggestive of that found anchoring 18th century strap handles is slightly separated to each side.  It suggests a later date for the mug (also sometimes called a tankard).  Similarly, the blue decoration looks later as does the Chinese chaacter opposite the handle.  A narrow gilded band encircles the outside of the mug at the rim.
