Condition Notes

The handle was reattached to the body at the top, and the repair was sprayed to hide it.  The sprayed coating has now turned yellow.

Comments

The white, globular teapot has a short, molded spout opposite a molded handle.  Floral decoration in plum, purple, orange and green decorates the sides.  A delicate band of dots and lines in purple, orange, and black decorates the rim and the edge of the lid, which has a molded finial.

Of interest, this teapot is larger than, but nearly identical in molded detail and enameled decoration to accession no. 1971.702.
