This plate is a pair with accession no. 2023.86.

The pair of molded plates has an upwardly curved rim and no foot-ring.  The inside is colorfully painted with two birds, one of which is in flight.  The Chinese-styled landscape with trees and rocks incorporates a pagoda and a blue-colored beast.  The border has five polychromed repeats.  For a similar plate, see Winterthur, accession no. 1961.1345.
