Comments
The baluster-shaped pitcher has a prominent spout cut into the body opposite an applied C scroll handle. The pewter body, made of a slightly different alloy called Britannia, acquired its shape by being spun on a lathe. While spinning, the maker formed the shallow molding separating the globular belly from the reel-shaped neck. The pitcher has no maker's marks or other marks.
